Two Srinagar boys drown in river Sindh in Kangan village, rescue operation launched | KNO

Srinagar, July 05 (KNO): Two boys drowned in Nallah Sindh in Kijpora area of Kangan in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Sunday late afternoon. A senior police officer told the news agency—Kashmir News observer (KNO) that the two boys aged 17 and 18 drowned in the Nallah while taking a bath. He said that soon after the incident a rescue operation was launched by locals, SDRF and police to retrieved their bodies and efforts are on to trace the duo. The officer identified the duo as Zahid Umar and Faisal Ahamd-both residents of Noorbagh Palpora Srinagar. The rescue operation was going on when this report was filed—(KNO)
